Compared with 12CrMoV steel, 12Cr1MoV has higher oxidation resistance and thermal strength. The creep limit of 12Cr1MoV is very close to the permanent strength value, and it has high plasticity in the case of long-lasting tension; the steel has good processability and weldability, but it needs to be preheated to 300°C before welding, and the stress treatment after welding is required.

The 12Cr1MoV alloy steel pipes supplied by Katalor are mainly used after normalizing and high temperature tempering to produce superheated steel pipes, conduits, serpentine pipes and other corresponding forgings whose operating temperature does not exceed 570-585°C in high-pressure equipment.
