API Spec 5L PSL1 is a grade in the steel pipe standard established by the American Petroleum Institute for pipeline transportation systems. This standard aims to ensure the quality and reliability of steel pipes used in the oil and gas industry and regulates the production, inspection and delivery requirements for steel pipes.

The steel pipe production methods under the API Spec 5L PSL1 standard mainly include seamless and welded.
