12Cr1MoVG steel pipe is a Cr-Mo-V low alloy heat-resistant steel imported from the former Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1960s. Vanadium is an element that reduces the y-phase region. When it is dissolved in y-fe, the transformation of 12Cr1MoVG steel pipe from austenite to pearlite is inhibited, which is beneficial to the formation of austenite.
The total amount of alloy in 12Cr1MoVG steel pipe is only half of that of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel, but the rupture strength (580℃) is 1.4 times of 2.25Cr-1Mo steel. Similar steel grades widely used abroad include ASTM a405 p24, USA, bs3604, UK, DIN 13crmov42, Germany, etc., all of which are equivalent materials of 12Cr1MoVG steel pipe.
Limit service temperature of 12Cr1MoVG steel pipe: 12Cr1MoVG steel pipe is mainly used for boiler superheater with metal wall temperature not exceeding 580 ℃, and pressure parts such as boiler header and main steam pipe with metal wall temperature not exceeding 565 ℃.
