1045 pipe under ASTM A519 standard is a carbon steel seamless pipe.
ASTM A519 Standard Specification for Seamless Carbon and Alloy Steel Mechanical Tubing covers for several grades of carbon and alloy steel mechanical tubing, either hot-finished steel tube or cold-finished steel tubes. The steel used in the mechanical tubing may be cast in ingots or may be strand cast. When steel of different grades is sequentially strand cast, identification of the resultant transition material is required. The seamless tubing is a tubular product made without a welded seam.
A519 1045 Seamless Pipe Size
Outer Diameter: Hot finished 36-762 mm; Cold drawn 6-219mm
Wall Thickness: Hot finished 6-120 mm; Cold drawn 1- 15 mm
Length: Random Length, Fixed Length
ASTM A519 seamless carbon steel tubing, which is produced for heat exchanger applications, offers the process industry a high quality and competitive product concept. These ASTM A519 1045 mechanical tubing is normally supplied in the solution – annealed condition, where this treatment is carried out at 2050 Degree F (1120 Degree C) followed by water quench or rapid air cool.
A519 1045 Seamless Pipes Manufacturing
ASTM A519 1045 seamless carbon steel pipe is usually manufactured by hot working steel, and if necessary, by subsequently cold finishing the hot-worked tubular product to produce the desired shape, dimensions and properties. The tubes shall be furnished in the following shapes: round, square, rectangular and special sections. Heat analysis shall be made to determine the percentages of the elements specified. If secondary melting processes are used, the heat analysis shall be obtained from one remelted ingot or the product of one remelted ingot of each primary melt. The steel tubing shall be coated with a film of oil before shaping to retard rust when specified.
